On this day in 1990 the first Congress of People’s Deputies of the RSFSR adopted the Declaration of State Sovereignty of Russia, which proclaimed the supremacy of the Russian Constitution and its laws. By that time, many Soviet republics had already decided the issue of sovereignty, therefore, an important milestone was the adoption of the new name of the country in strengthening the Russian state – the Russian Federation (Russia). That is, it turns out, this date, which we now celebrate as a holiday, was the beginning of the destruction of the inside of the vast country. But it was inevitable. Leaders of the union state does not take into account the interests of the Republic, of which there were a dozen. The USSR subjects, including the Russian Federation, it was not possible to influence internal politics. But I think that the authors of those events is hardly expected that all will end as it is now over. They only pursued the aim to overcome the central leadership and take his place. And we never thought it would lead to a domino effect and the parade of sovereignties. But the process went irreversible, and the results we obtained in 1991.
So, on the one hand, the Day of Russia is effectively connected with the revival of Russia. On the other hand, this day served as a trigger for subsequent events – the collapse of a large country: the USSR design has become obsolete and should somehow be transformed and everything that happened had to happen. Yes, it was a painful process, but we coped. Although, by and large, Russia cope with its internal situation for about a thousand years. But the June 12, 1990 – this is a major milestone in the history of our country. Revived Russia gained statehood, and is now unlikely to reverse scenario is possible. It is also well worth it, and therefore it is necessary to appreciate, cherish, it is necessary to sense and feel their responsibility. Many colleagues from other regions are surprised that we have implemented 30 social programs in the country for several years and that they are not reduced, despite the economic difficulties. And do not be proud of it can not. Still, it is a joint effort – and Russia as a whole, and Tatarstan in particular. We are part of a large country, and the Day of Russia for us – it is a day of pride for their country and for all what we have achieved together.

Probably, it seldom happens that the chairmen of the collective farm immediately took the post of Deputy Minister of agriculture as me. But this too was a time when – everything new, everything had changed. And above all – the stereotype of thinking and mentality. Although it was very difficult. People lived a long time in one country and then – bam! – Woke up in another! It would seem that everything remains as it was: the same street, same house, same job. But the country has changed, and we had to change, too, no matter how it was difficult. After all, the Prophet Muhammad said that if you say that the mountain budge, you believe. And if you say that a person has changed their thinking, do not believe. And I am very grateful to my colleagues, who then were able to keep farming. And all the major companies in the country to work, and therefore easier to Tatarstan took the road of change.
