Kremlin regrets that the UN Security Council did not support the Russian draft resolution on Syria – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, Feb 20, -. RIA Novosti The Kremlin regret that the UN Security Council did not support the Russian draft resolution on Turkey’s action on Syria, said the president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

UN Security Council on the initiative of Russia on Friday held a meeting on the situation on the Syrian-Turkish border. Before the meeting, the Russian delegation circulated a draft resolution that condemns the shelling of Syria across the border and the continuing flow of foreign fighters, the intervention of military personnel. The document also insists on respecting Syria’s sovereignty, an immediate cease fire across the border, as well as the failure of attempts and plans for foreign military ground invasion of the territory of Syria.

The original version of the text of the resolution was rejected by six Council members, including the three owners of the veto – the United States, Britain and France. the document Consultations will continue.
