At the Sakharov center unknown poured paint over photos APU fighters – Вести.Ru

on Wednesday evening, an unknown man ruined by spray paint photographs of winners of the “Direct gaze” Alexander Vasyukovich and Sergei L. Loiko, dedicated to the war in Ukraine, reports “Interfax”.

As reported in the Moscow Sakharov center, where they were exhibited, “photography gives you the opportunity to see the war, and with it sorrow, suffering and death. However, there are people, poisoned by hatred, due to which public discussion about the tragedy of war becomes impossible”, — stated in the page of the Sakharov centre in Facebook.

In the Center noted that restore damaged work will not be, as they will not be able to guarantee not only their safety but also the safety of visitors.

According to the organizers of the exhibition, photos, Vasyukovich and Loikaw can be seen on the contest website, and photographs of the other participants can be viewed in the exhibition hall of the Sakharov center until October 19.

the theme of the contest of documentary photography “Direct view” was the problem of man’s relationship with society and government, as well as the ways of their resolution.

Recall that the current attack on the exhibition is not the first this week. On 24 September, was attacked the exhibition “Without embarrassment” of American photographer Jock Sturges. In his works, the proponents of morality saw the promotion of child pornography. One of them appeared in the Center photos behalf of the Lumiere brothers with a bottle of urine poured over the photographs. The Centre’s management shut down the exhibition, “in order not to disturb public opinion”.
