The State Duma this week may ratify the agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union. Parliaments of Belarus and Kazakhstan are still lagging behind, although the parties agreed on synchronicity.

Eurasian economic union with Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan must earn from 1 January 2015. To do this, the parliaments of the three countries need to ratify the treaty establishing it.

In July, the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko said that the heads of the parliaments of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan agreed on simultaneous ratification of the treaty. On Tuesday evening, he said that on September 26, the State Duma may consider and ratify the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has not yet done this.
