the cause of the explosion at the metro station “Kolomna” in Moscow was a violation of safety rules at carrying out of welding works, reports TASS.

As reported by law enforcement, in the blast no criminal background. The reason was a depressurization of a gas cylinder during welding, after which the fire happened on an area of about 5 square meters. The fire was extinguished at 09:40.

In the result of incident four persons suffered, one of them is in serious condition. The blast smashed Windows in a local shopping pavilions.

Earlier it was reported that near “Kolomenskaya” metro there was cotton, then got a puff of smoke. Passers-by did not pay much attention to what happened, thinking that someone set off firecrackers.
