Muscovites are choosing the City Duma of the sixth convocation. For them, work stations 3610, 978 of which are equipped with Cohiba. Voting takes place “under the gun” 6828 cameras.

For the first time in 11 years Moscow City Duma deputies are elected from single-member districts exclusively. The newly elected members of parliament will be more – 45 instead of 35, however, not all members will work on a permanent professional basis and get paid for it. According to ITAR-TASS, “on the payroll” will be only the chairman of the Duma and his deputies and heads of departments. Other deputies will work without interruption from their core business.

The Moscow region today choose more than 2.5 thousand representatives of regional and municipal authorities. For example, residents of the Moscow region will elect two deputies of the Moscow Regional Duma, chapter 101 municipal districts, urban and rural settlements and 222 deputies of local councils. Following the elections the municipal authorities in the region is updated by two-thirds.

In general, today’s elections in Russia will be the most ambitious in recent years, according to RIA Novosti. Russian citizens have to choose 30 governors, 14 regional parliaments and mayors of the capitals of three subjects of the Russian Federation. Overall, the elections of different levels will be held in 84 of the 85 regions of the country will vote for the first time the inhabitants of the new subjects of the Russian Federation – Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.
