The State Duma has decided to make a new attempt to completely ban the country’s low-alcohol energy drinks. The relevant bill introduced in the lower house of deputies from the “Just Russia”, the newspaper “Izvestia».

This is not the first such attempt. The bill was introduced in the lower house of the Federal Assembly, but was postponed due to non-compliance to the regulations of the Customs Union of the item on a total ban on the production of low-alcohol cocktails in the country.

As explained by one of the authors of the new document Nikolai Levichev, now bill contains a prohibition not to manufacture, and sale of low-alcohol of Power.

The initiative supported including the Ministry of Health, Chief Narcologist Eugene Brune, who has long been an opponent of similar drinks.

The publication notes that low alcohol Energy, popular among minors is prohibited in many countries, including France, Denmark, Norway, as well as in several states of the USA.

Currently, alcoholic energy are prohibited for sale in the four regions of Russia – Krasnodar, Rostov region, Chechnya and Chukotka. FAS attempts to challenge this decision resulted in its defeat in the Supreme Arbitration Court.
