FSB detained in the Black Sea Ukrainian tanker – Tomsk Overview

The Russian border guards detained in the Black Sea Ukrainian tanker “Smolny”. The ship is in the territorial waters of Russia, told Tass Border Guard Service in the Crimea. The secret service believe that the tanker was conducted illegal purchase and sale of diesel fuel in the high seas.

As noted by the border guard, the ship was not the captain and the crew, consisting of 10 people, missing all official documentation. On board was also not an automated identification system.

«That is in fact the ship was” ghost “is not visible to the public regulatory authorities”, – said the source publication. According to the FSB, the ship was in the Black Sea without entering the ports since 2012.

The publication “Kryminform” referring to the press service of the Border Guard Service in the region reported that the tanker, owned by “Yuvas- trans “YTD repeatedly without the permission of the Russian border guards left the territorial waters of the Russian Federation. The owner of “Smolny” faces a fine of more than three million rubles.
