Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the activity of foreign intelligence services operating in Russia is growing. He said this in his speech in the Kremlin at the celebration of the Day of workers of the security forces.
“Only through counterintelligence this year revealed more than 230 staff employees and agents of foreign special services” – Putin said.
At the same time, he said that “intimidate, restrain and isolate Russia” will not work. “I do not work and now it does not work. In this case, we must be willing to go through some difficulties and always give an adequate response to any threats to our sovereignty, stability and unity of our society,” – Putin said in his speech.
The president also said that in 2014, thanks to the actions of Russian security services managed to prevent “more than 60 terrorist crimes, including eight terrorist attacks”.

At the annual press conference in Moscow on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin accused the West in an effort to weaken Russia.
