Mikhalkov explained his claim to “Yeltsin Centre” – RBK

the President of the Russian culture Fund, Director Nikita Mikhalkov has explained, based on his claim to Yeltsin center. According to him, in the center, he was not, however, know enough about it. About this he stated in his author’s programs on the channel “Russia 24″.

“I was there [in the Centre — RBC] was not, but it is absolutely sufficient that I know, and that is true. This is confirmed by, for example, the transfer of Vladimir Solovyov on the radio that was in the Yeltsin center,” — said Mikhalkov.

the Director refers to an 8-minute video about the history of Russia, which is shown in the Center, and also the opinion of Solovyov about the video. In particular, Soloviev declares that, in his opinion, this video is “denigrating our history”.

“a Vector, which leads young people and children, this excursion into history with such a hateful ideology totally denies the value of individuals who created Russia, it is wrong, it should be correct”, — said Mikhalkov. The Director noted that the need to give “objective” information to the people who come in Yeltsin center.

Mikhalkov, speaking at the parliamentary hearings in the Federation Council December 9, said that Yeltsin centre “daily injections of destruction of national consciousness of children.” He also called to adjust the program to show a different point of view on history.

criticism of Mikhalkov answered the widow of the first President of Russia Boris Yeltsin Naina Yeltsin. He said that “outraged by these statements Mikhalkov” not only because they are “false, having nothing to do with Yeltsin centre”.

According to her, Mikhalkov “for the past few months spreading lies about how the history of the country in the Museum of the first President of Russia did not hesitate to pull out of context the elements of the exposition, label it, and directly to insult people who in those years worked for the good of our country.”

She stressed that Mikhalkov never was in the Yeltsin centre. Yeltsin added that he had been to the Museum and the exhibition “no marks — only documents, only the facts, only the testimony of witnesses,” emphasizes Yeltsin.

Yeltsin In the centre was the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev “in their speeches at the opening praised as the very Center and its creators,” — said Yeltsin.

the words Mikhalkov answered press-service of the Centre, noting that such criticism is “fit for the famous tradition: “I have not read Pasternak, but I condemn”.
