The official representative of the Ministry of Interior Elena Alekseeva told Interfax that the detention was in the Vladimir region, in the city of Kovrov. She also noted that during the arrest Belov resisted, but none of the police officers was injured. A law enforcement source told the agency that Belov was hiding in one of the garden houses in Kovrov, and during the arrest he was wounded.

According to him, Belov managed to get to the Vladimir region and hid in one of the garden houses in Kovrov. Police surrounded the building and offered to surrender to Belov, but he tried to break through and attacked the investigators. “Reflecting the attack, the police used a service weapon, wounding the suspect,” – he added. Earlier, the mother of the suspect’s wife Valentina Zaitseva said that Belov was diagnosed with schizophrenia. “He has a diagnosis – a” schizophrenia “, – she said.
