Windows 10 are planning to ban the use in government – Pozitaym.ru

Deputy Chairman of the Duma faction “Fair Russia” Nikolay Levichev made a proposal that should be prohibited to use Windows 10 in state bodies and institutions. In addition, he also suggested to check the Microsoft’s compliance of Russian legislation. This was reported by the publication “to Lenta.ru” referring to the information received in the office Vice-Speaker. It also became known that the publication “to Lenta.ru” make the request to the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedva and chapters of Roskomnadzor Alexander Zharov.

As it became known, Levicheva alarmed privacy statement. The user can make the transition to Windows 10 only if you agree with all the provisions of this document. In the agreement there is a text, which states that “the Microsoft Corporation will hold registration of personal and contact information,” and this includes passwords, numbers, credit card security code, IP-address and the number of other equally important information, says Vice Speaker.

Also, Nikolai Levichev wrote a letter stating that Microsoft states that personal data will be available as representatives of corporations and foreign government agencies. This can cause leakage of sensitive data.

This letter was sent to the head of Roskomnadzor. It also has a specification, which states that foreign authorities – this is also the intelligence structure.

In a letter to the head of Roskomnadzor noted that, since the operating system Windows 10 is engaged in the collection and recording of personal data, it falls within the scope of the law “On information”. On this basis, Nikolai Levichev requests an audit of Microsoft in Russia.

August 20, Microsoft has denied accusations of violation of privacy, since the user can choose their own ways to use their data.
