Survey: more and more Russians approve of the authorities to rescue the “Kursk” – BBC Russian

Only 35% of Russians believe that the Russian authorities failed to take all measures to rescue sailors in a submarine “Kursk”. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by “Levada Center”.

At the same time, 40% of respondents believe that the authorities have taken all necessary measures. The number of people who adhere to this position, has increased significantly in recent years. In 2000, as 23% of Russians were responsible, in 2010 – 34%.

26% of respondents were undecided.

28% of respondents said the refusal of the Russian authorities the right of foreign aid, 41% called the decision wrong.

The nuclear submarine “Kursk” sank 12 August 2000 in the Barents Sea. All 118 crew members on board were killed.
