Interpol will review the request to declare the international wanted list the former head of Yukos Mikhail Khodorkovsky, informs the Agency “Interfax” citing a source familiar with the situation

Interpol at its forthcoming meeting in mid-November, intends to consider the announcement in the international search Khodorkovsky on charges of involvement in the murder of Nefteyugansk mayor Vladimir Petukhov, said the Agency interlocutor.

“Interpol has received from Moscow all requested materials in this case in order to determine whether there are grounds for declaring the ex-head of Yukos in the international wanted list,” — said the source.

Russia’s Request to Interpol for the announcement of Khodorkovsky wanted was rejected in February this year. The Secretariat-General then came to the conclusion that the request does not comply with the rules of the organization, and recommended to the member countries of the organization not to make the ex-head of YUKOS in the national database on wanted. In the headquarters of Interpol appealed to article 3 of the Charter of the organization, which “prohibits to take any actions of political, military, religious or racial character”.
