Authorities have offered a way to stimulate demand for domestic cars – RBC

Prime Dmitry Medvedev has ordered to the State Duma a bill, which should stimulate the development of the automotive industry. We are talking about tax breaks for vehicles manufactured after January 1, 2013

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the introduction of the State Duma prepared by the Ministry of Finance of the bill containing the amendments to the Tax Code, which the government plan should lead to an increase in demand for domestic cars. The corresponding order was taken on Tuesday at a government website.

The project assumes that from 1 January 2017, taxpayers will be exempt from property tax for vehicles, to be in accordance with the Russian legislation, the state registration.

The rate will apply to vehicles manufactured after 1 January 2013, taken on the account as a result of reorganization or liquidation of legal entities, as well as the transfer, including the acquisition of assets between entities recognized in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 2 of Article .105 Tax Code interdependent.

The document was approved by the government at a meeting on August 18. Medvedev then pointed out that the proposed measure will encourage enterprises and organizations to upgrade its fleet and will create additional demand for domestic appliances.
