Sergey Levchenko: Participants “Baikal 2020″ a lot of interesting projects – MonaVista

Governor Sergey Levchenko visited the site of the international “Baikal 2020″ youth camp. The head of the region met with the participants of the camp and answered the questions of young people.

Governor’s visit began with an introduction to the work of the sections. Recall all of this year seven: “Business and Careers”, “Dialogue of Cultures”, “Ecology and volunteering”, “Innovative technologies in ecology”, “Media”, “Patriotika”, “Policy. a new generation of frames for the local government. ”

Representatives of youth innovative creativity centers showed the head of the region’s modern innovative equipment – 3D-printers, laser machines. One of the participants of the camp told the product of stained wood, which is extracted from the bottom of Lake Baikal. Processing the material on a conventional milling machine, the main thing – to choose the right tools. Morin wood is very strong, almost like a metal. According to rough estimates of the volume of its reserves in the lake is 35 million cubic meters.

For the first time this year the section “Patriotika” worked in the camp. The boys were both theoretical and practical training in parachuting and scuba diving.

After reading sections, a general meeting of the participants with the governor of the camp. Mainly young people interested in the areas of business and the environment. Thus, the participants asked the head of the region, what are, in his opinion, the prospects for cooperation with China. Sergey Levchenko said that the Irkutsk region has established a long association with some of China’s regions. Two Chinese provinces are twinned Angara region.

– In addition, the Irkutsk region is an association of northeastern Asia regions. It is an association of individual regions, which are located in five countries – Russia, China, Korea, Mongolia and Japan. This year, I am its chairman. The agreement was signed by 70 regions from five countries. We discuss general policy issues of cooperation, – said Sergey Levchenko.

He also added that in the Irkutsk region there is a lot of Chinese business. And now the main task – to restore order in this sphere. In addition, as the governor said, it is necessary to create a modern tourism infrastructure and increase the number of tourists from China to Irkutsk region.

Another issue relating to the theme of the camp participants retain young professionals in the region. Sergey Levchenko noted that this, together with the Minister for Youth Policy is actively developing a number of measures:

– First of all, we are talking about educational opportunities. Since this is no problem – in the Irkutsk region are good universities. After the training, the young man begins his career, so he needs an interesting and well-paid job. In this sense, we still have a lot to be done. When a person creates a family, there is a question of buying an apartment, the baby unit in the kindergarten. These trends, we are also actively engaged. In the past year increased by 30% for housing compared with the previous year, the program was closed in places in kindergartens for children from three to seven years, – said Sergey Levchenko.

The youth asked the Governor, as the region belongs to the modern technologies, particularly in the environment.

– The region needs a modern and eco-friendly production. We create an advantage for those companies that produce environmentally friendly products. This task is given to all entities that are engaged in development of the economy. We perform many activities to help young entrepreneurs, developing on the basis of our innovative industry universities, – said Sergey Levchenko.

Following the meeting, the governor said that he liked the questions of the participants of the camp, they show that young people care about the future of the region.

– Very pleased that our young people have an opinion. I saw a lot of interesting projects that can be implemented just in our region: in construction, forestry and other fields. Our job is to make sure that these young people were not disappointed and were supported to implement their plans, – he stressed the head of the Angara region.
