the Proposal to create a “United state of the transmission medium of the navigation information obtained from tachographs and other technical devices with measuring functions” (EHSNI) was announced at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin. According to the newspaper, the idea was approved and as a result the Ministry of industry and trade, the Ministry of transport, Ministry of economic development, the Ministry of communications and the state-owned company “GLONASS” has received instructions to prepare and submit a plan for the formation of EHSNI in the shortest possible time.
As stated in the text of the Protocol on the results of the meeting with Rogozin, EGSN can also be applied “to traffic violations and bringing offenders to administrative responsibility”.
Base for EHSNI are the terminals of the system ERA-GLONASS, which must be installed according to the technical regulations on all new cars manufactured in 2020.
