Rostov border guards opened fire on trespassers with Ukraine – RBC

Rostov border guards opened fire on a Russian citizen who tried to break into the car through the Russian-Ukrainian border. This was reported in the press service of the Russian FSB border department in the region, Interfax reports.

The agency’s interlocutor said that UAZ-3303 on the outskirts of Donetsk Rostov tried to illegally enter the territory of Russia. Border guards need to stop, but the driver of the vehicle tried to escape, after which the border guards were forced to use the weapon.

The offender was arrested, he was a resident of Donetsk. Concerning it initiated proceedings on administrative offenses under Part 1 st.18.1 (violation of rules of crossing the State border of the Russian Federation) and st.18.7 Administrative Code (disobedience to lawful order or request a soldier in connection with the performance of his duties for the Protection of the State Border of the Russian Federation) .

The reasons for which the offender tried to get across the border, are unknown. The representative of the Ministry said that since the beginning of 2015 this is the fifth case where a border violators have to use weapons.
