Under Pskov driver stole a truck with tomatoes, knowing that they will destroy – Russian newspaper

In the Pskov region stole a truck driver with the sanctions tomatoes to save the cargo from recycling. It is reported by the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

The incident took place at night on August 6 in the village Dolostsy on the Belarusian-Russian administrative border. On phytosanitary control point came truck in which inspectors found a half ton of fresh tomatoes without a phytosanitary certificate. On the package there was no marking labels were traces of failure.

The driver was informed that the products according to a new presidential decree, shall be seized and destroyed. In response, the carrier hijacked vehicle on the territory of Belarus.

According to some reports, the driver left so quickly that he left the inspectors documents and passport. The further fate of the sanctions cargo is unknown.
