MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested deputies of the state Duma of the seventh convocation to support the candidacy of the Deputy head of the Kremlin administration Vyacheslav Volodin to the post of speaker of the lower house of Parliament.
At the meeting with leaders of the past in the state Duma of the seventh convocation of the parties, the head of state recalled that Sergey Naryshkin will go to work in the foreign intelligence Service, in connection with which “the question on election of a new Chairman of the State Duma”.
“It certainly dealing exclusively of the deputies of deputies, but we are here with Dmitry Anatolyevich (Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation) will ask anyway to support the candidacy of Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin”, – said Putin to the leaders of the factions.
“Vyacheslav Viktorovich knows what parliamentary work, he was a member for a long time and being in the presidential administration, supported by direct contact with the deputies of the faction leaders, with the parties is included in the circle of his professional duties. I hope all this will help him to build him a job inside the lower house of Parliament, unless, of course, the deputies will take the appropriate decision,” – said the President.
About Vyacheslav Volodin
the 52-year-old Volodin has rich experience of parliamentary work. New assignment Naryshkin
on the Eve of Putin by his decree dismissed Mikhail Fradkov from the office of Director SVR of Russia and appointed instead of it Sergey Naryshkin. The decree comes into force from 5 October.
“You are well aware, as we all are, in what situation we are now, how important the success of this service for consistent and reliable development of our country how important it is in order to stop threats against Russia to prevent their proliferation, but rather to act in such a way that they do not arise in the early stages to neutralize these threats,” – said the head of state at a meeting with Naryshkin and Fradkov on Thursday.
September 18, Naryshkin was elected to the state Duma of the seventh convocation on one-mandatory district of Kingisepp in the Leningrad region. As explained TASS Secretary of the CEC, Maya Grishina, a by-election in the district can pass in a single voting day in September 2017.
