Five NGOs will test the law on “undesirable organizations” – Radio Azattyk

State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party Vitaly Zolochevsky included in the State Duma Committee for non-governmental organizations, on Monday sent a request to the Prosecutor General with a request to give an indication of the inspection organizations Carnegie Foundation, Transparency International, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and the Foundation “Memorial” “for the submission of their threat to the foundations of the constitutional order of Russia, the country’s defense or national security.” RBC reports.

In the case of detection and confirmation of such information, the deputy asks to recognize these organizations are undesirable in Russia and to take action prosecutorial response in accordance with applicable Russian legislation.

On Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Act undesirable organizations. According to the law, the junk can be recognized non-governmental organization, “jeopardize the fundamentals of the constitutional system, defense and security.” The corresponding decision was accepted the Attorney General or his deputy in coordination with the Foreign Ministry of Russia. The list of undesirable organizations will maintain and make public the Ministry of Justice.
