According to the draft, the new Parliament will take center area of 345 thousand square meters, which is almost 5 times more than the total area of buildings occupied by the State Duma and the Federation Council now – 75 thousand square meters. Near the center will be built housing for MPs and there will be two new subway stations.

Now the three leaders are busy creating layouts that in the second half of June will be on display in the State Duma and the Federation Council. Parliamentarians will be able to familiarize with the proposed options, and vote for the most appropriate. The final decision on the winner will bear the jury in the same structure as the first step. Earlier, Deputy Mayor for urban policy and the construction of Marat Khusnullin construction of the Parliamentary Centre in Mnevniki could begin this summer. According to him, all the preparatory work on the subject within the competence of the city, will be completed within one to two months, after which the investor will be able to enter the court. Who will be the main contractor of the construction – is still unknown. Construction is scheduled to finish in 2019.
