The investigation has opened a criminal case on abuse of power with violence after media reports about the beating veteran of World War II in one of the clinics of St. Petersburg, according to the website of the Investigative Committee of Russia (MRS).

The incident occurred on May 12 in the city hospital №100, when the pensioner refused a patient card. According to media reports, according to the pensioner, elderly woman decided to take the document itself, which was the cause of aggressive behavior on the part of hospital staff: pensioner knocked to the floor and began to twist arms, and then, she said, the head of the department repeatedly struck a woman in the head.

In mid-February TFR indicted Olga Konyukhova, director of the Kronstadt store network “Magnet” in which the veteran was detained by the blockade of Leningrad Rouse Galimov on suspicion of stealing three packets of butter. Subsequently, a pensioner died in a police station. The official representative of the TFR Vladimir Markin did not rule out that the prosecution may present a store manager for another article.
