As a result of special operation in Nazran and Malgobek neutralized five militants linked to the outlawed Russian terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG). On Thursday, May 26 RIA Novosti reported with reference to the National Anti-Terrorist Committee (NAC).
Bandit, put up fierce armed resistance fighters eliminated special forces of the FSB and the Interior Ministry. Three militants were detained, added to the NAC.
The information on the whereabouts of the terrorists has been obtained as a result of measures to curb the activities of clandestine criminal underground cell associated with the IG. The special operation was carried out on May 21 in the territory of the Nazran district. Gang consisted of four residents of Ingushetia and was created to commit crimes against members of the government, law enforcement officers, supporters of traditional Islam.
All of them were detained. Also, security forces dismantled nine weapons caches and ammunition.
Among the detainees there was one police officer, said the NAC on 24 May. During the search he seized large quantities of weapons and explosives.
