Putin signed a law to increase the retirement age of civil servants – TASS

MOSCOW, 23 May. / TASS /. Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law to increase the retirement age of civil servants. The text of the law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts in terms of increasing the retirement age to certain categories of citizens” posted today on the official portal of legal information.

The law will take effect from January 1, 2017. The new rules will affect civil servants, municipal workers, as well as persons holding public office of the Russian Federation, public office regions and municipal offices on a regular basis.

The law provides for a gradual increase each year for six months, and 65 years for men and up to 63 years for women’s pension age eligibility for allocation and payment of insurance old-age pension for persons holding state and municipal offices. As previously informed the speaker of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin, “by 2032 the age for women will be 63 years for men – 65 years.” Up to 65 years increases the age limit stay in the civil service.

Also, in accordance with the change from 15 to 20 years increases the length of time the state civil service, authorizing federal state civil employees the right to the pension for years of service. Longevity is proposed to increase each year for six months. From 1 to 5 years increased the minimum duration of the execution of powers of the State Duma deputies and Federation Council members to be eligible for a monthly supplement to the insured retirement pension.

The new law retains the right to establish the monthly surcharges to pensions in accordance with the applicable rules of the RSFSR People’s deputies of the 1990-1995 convocation, members of parliament and senators of the first convocation of 1993-1995, as well as members of the Federation Council, or to continue to exercise the powers after 1 January 1996 year. Additionally, it specifies the procedure for the total of seniority for those who had worked in both houses of Parliament

In accordance with the amendments proposed and consideration of the continuation of public service after attaining the age of women 55 years and men -. 60 years in the determination of funded pension.
