The State Duma has rejected an amendment to ban MPs to do business families – RBC

The State Duma rejected the bill, according to which the leaders of both houses of parliament relatives can not do business, according to TASS.

The document, introduced to Parliament MP from the Communist Party Vadim Solovyov. The explanatory note says that the personal interest of deputies and senators manifested in cases where they receive money or property from relatives.

«It is obvious that a member of the Federation Council, State Duma will not be able to objectively and impartially perform their duties (exercise powers) in the case of close kinship or property (parents, spouses, children, brothers, sisters, and brothers, sisters, parents, children, spouses and spouses of children) with a person who participates in business entity management activities or other commercial organization and carrying out entrepreneurial activities, “- said Solovyov

Earlier, the government did not support the amendment, as well as the state Duma Committee on constitutional legislation and state building.. In the beginning of January Solovyov also spoke about the bill preparation, which prohibits doing business to relatives of officials. May 10 these amendments were also rejected.
