Moscow. 10 Nov. INTERFAX.RU – protection of the Deputy Minister of culture Grigory Pirumov, accused of embezzling funds in the restoration of cultural heritage, insists that the statement of the investigator in the court’s recognition of a defendant’s guilt is only a personal opinion.
“the statement was made with a single purpose: to the court quashed the decision of the court of first instance (the extension of arrest), because there ( in district court) they do no evidence is presented,” – said “Interfax” the lawyer Fedor Kupriyanov.
According to him, “this is just the opinion of the investigation”. “Expertise in the matter are not carried out. And so to admit guilt in the damage impossible,” – said the defender.
“Pay attention to what was said by the investigator (the court): we have a lot of evidence on the recognition of different persons, but we won’t apply (to the case). It is procedural nonsense,” – said Kupriyanov.
At the meeting of the Moscow city court on Thursday in a complaint to prolongation of arrest Pirumov until mid-December, the representative of the investigation and the Prosecutor argued that the accused pleaded guilty to charges of embezzlement of budgetary funds allocated for restoration of objects of cultural heritage.
“the materials of this criminal case there is evidence confirming the guilt of Grigory Pirumov U. in particular, there is recognition Pirumov about what he did to them crimes,” said the investigator.
According to him, while these interrogation protocols cannot be attached to the materials of the case due to secrecy of the investigation.
the Prosecutor asked to leave Pirumov custody. In the beginning of the session she asked me to attach to the case materials additional questioning.
“I Beg to attach to the materials as justification for involvement in the alleged crime Pirumova a copy of the supplemental interrogation of the accused on October 19, 2016″, – said the Prosecutor in court.
According to her, represented the consequence of the materials to the court “show that Pirumov admits his guilt in the presence of the incriminated acts.”
