Employees colony Salavat Bashkir suppressed a mass revolt of prisoners, which resulted in on Sunday about 20 people injured. It is emphasized that a riot was suppressed without the use of power tools. This was reported by RIA Novosti head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Bashkortostan Victor Shalygin.
The action group convicted of disobedience occurred in the colony №2. More than 100 convicts refused to comply with the lawful demands of the administration. Twelve convicts barricaded themselves on the roof of one of the units. Protesters demanded the weakening of security requirements.
«Currently, the colony everybody calmed down. Power tools of prisoners were taken. They were reassured by individual beliefs. Who are convicted indoor units are removed, just passed the dinner, “- said the agency Shalygin.
According to him, the site held a prosecutor and internal business audit. Prisoners are accepted, interviewed about 40 people.
«The accident affected about 20 prisoners, prison staff was injured. The inspections will be undertaken both to prisoners and to prison staff, depending on the outcome, “- said Shalygin.
According to the FSIN, the colony №2 in Salavat contained convicts who have committed grave and especially serious crimes, the first serving time in prison. Total colony is serving a sentence of more than 1200 people.
