The State Duma Committee recommended the adoption in the second reading a bill on unwanted foreign organizations – Kommersant

The profile of the State Duma Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building on Tuesday recommended the lower house to adopt on second reading a bill on unwanted in the Russian Foreign and international organizations, reports “RIA Novosti”.

The authors of the initiative made by the deputy of the State Duma Alexander Tarnavskiy (“Fair Russia”) and a member of the LDPR faction Anton Ishchenko.

According to the amendments second reading may be considered undesirable activities of foreign or international non-governmental organization representing the threat to the foundations of the constitutional order of Russia, the country’s defense or national security. The amendments also transmit the RF Prosecutor General or his deputy the right to prohibit undesirable organizations to implement programs and projects in the country.
