Russian presidential aide Igor Levitin suggested postponing the beginning of the school year from 1 to 15 September. He said this at a meeting on the status and prospects of tourism development in the Voronezh region, RIA Novosti reported.
«From August 25 to September 1, the whole country is sitting in airports. Levitin cited the example of Western Europe, where the beginning of the school year in schools shifted due to tourism.
In this regard, he proposed to bring this matter to the State Council and accept the changes in law. Levitin also recommended to postpone the start of the school year, relevant departments of the Voronezh region. Local officials said that it is theoretically possible.
