The Italian newspaper La Stampa there was a material in which quoted the former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi that Russian President Vladimir Putin offered him citizenship and a ministerial post.
On version of the newspaper, Berlusconi spoke about this at a dinner with members of the party “Forza Italia” in Rome’s restaurant Consolini.
«I think in Italy, pushed me to the edge of political life, but Putin has told me that he was ready to give me citizenship and Minister of Economy” – allegedly said Berlusconi.
The
newspaper did not It specifies what kind of position meant Berlusconi under the “Minister of Economy” – a position in the Russian Cabinet there. 
Earlier, Berlusconi sentenced to three years in prison on charges of bribing senators.
