The Committee on the Regulation of the Council of the Federation prepared amendments to the regulations of the upper house, told RBC head of the committee Vadim tulips. After adjusting the rules of names of senators voting results will be available to the public.

«A compromise was found – said Tulip. – In cases when held open voting lists with the results will be posted on the official website of the Council of the Federation ».

A similar system operates in the State Duma, said the head of the Rules Committee. He added that the amendment can be accepted July 8 – the last meeting before the summer break of the upper house.

In general, the senators vote openly, except in special cases, especially when the decision on a secret ballot in the House (which is is carried out by ballots).

The problems with access to the results of voting senators became known in June. Then one of the deputies of the State Duma told RBC that sent together with a group of colleagues in the request of the Federation Council, which requested to provide data on how specific the senators voted for one of the bills. In response, he was refused. The letter stated that the law does not oblige the upper chamber to provide such data, and prescribes the rules in most cases, only make the number in the transcript of the meeting voted “for” and “against” without specifying names.

One of the senators confirmed RBC, which barely received a roll-call voting results. It is reported that asked for the results of voting in one day with an indication of the senators who voted “for”, and who – “against”. According to the source of RBC from the machine, he also was refused. He appealed to the leadership of one of the committees and received the list only after it threatened to tell the media about the situation. In this companion in the vehicle allegedly promised him that soon in the House Rules will be amended to formally restrict the right to vote of members of parliament interested colleagues. Interlocutor RBC difficulties connected with the fact that, in his opinion, some senators do not want to know the regions they represent that in some cases they vote in defiance of local parliaments and authorities.

at the end of Tulips June RBC confirmed that he knew of the existence of the problem, but assured that the problem arose only because of the fact that the regulation does not prescribe the procedure for the provision of roll call voting results. “We have to find a middle ground. On the one hand, everyone should be able to see the results of the voting, on the other hand, we can not create a department that would respond to such requests. Perhaps it makes sense to spread the results on the Internet. The solution will be found until July 7, “- he promised.
