Russia’s Investigative Committee opened a criminal investigation into the collapse of the roof of a building under construction in Veliky Novgorod, RBC reports.
Construction work on the building by the Company “Stroytek.” The criminal case was opened under article “Violation of safety rules during construction work».
Currently, rescue operations at the scene stopped. As a result of roof collapse killed five people. A sixth worker was in the building during the collapse, it is now in intensive care.
It is noted that one of the dead was a 25-year-old native of Cameroon, the student of Civil Engineering Faculty, Novgorod State University, which was held in the building practice.
