The regional group of the ruling party “United Russia” in the Duma elections will lead the 17 governors, although it was initially planned to give the first places in the lists of only the most charismatic heads of regions. About this newspaper “Kommersant”, citing a source in the party leadership.
Increase in the number of governors in the lists confirmed the deputy head of the federal organizing committee of the “United Russia”, Viktor Kidyaev. He said that the final decision will be taken at the party congress in June.
In the first place will be invited heads of major regions, including two capitals and Moscow region, as well as several governors rating. They can trust lists that span multiple regions.
According to “Kommersant”, the United Russia party also discussed the inclusion in the list of heads of regions of the North Caucasus, including Dagestan, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia and North Ossetia.
Earlier “Times” said that the Crimean prosecutor Natalia Poklonskaya can enter to the list of “United Russia”. It can be included in the federal part of the list.
