– You participate in the primaries, “United Russia” in the Leningrad region. Two stages of the debate have already passed. Therefore, immediately I said that I will take part in the elections on single-mandate constituency and on a par with all the challengers get in the debate. this is a new experience, it is very helpful to me and colleagues. As a rule, meetings, debates and it is not about abstract things, and on specific issues of concern to people. -. Continuing the international theme – recently in Moscow a meeting of Speakers of the countries of Eurasia. It was your initiative
-? It was our joint initiative with the South Korean counterpart, Mr. Chung Eui Hwa. Our goal was to initiate a new dialogue format. And we understood the inevitability of difficulties – not only because the first experience is always given is not easy, but on the basis of the current international situation. You see, as in the West a number of countries led by the US are trying to introduce fashion to limit the dialogue, and even Russian parliamentarians are included in any black list.
Frankly, the result even surpassed our expectations. At the first meeting of the speakers of 19 countries were represented. A little more, and the format of this meeting can be called a large parliamentary twenty. We not only met in Moscow and not only openly talked on a variety of topical subjects – both at the meeting and during bilateral meetings – but also adopted a final document. We managed to formulate on paper combining our position and align them between countries – are very different in their history and culture, legal and state traditions. A country represented at the meeting – it is a total of 4 billion people. Most political force …
All were in favor of the continuation of such meetings. And already there was a competition – who will be the next host of the forum. As a result, we decided that the Summit 2017 will be held in the Republic of Korea. And in the future, I am sure the meeting speakers Eurasia parliaments will become regular and composition will only grow at the expense of not only Asian but also European states – representatives of the EU

We can not allow common to us all Eurasian space were separated on different vectors for regional trade and investment alliances to confront both among themselves and with the global economic agreements. And this danger follows, for example, of the trans-Pacific and trans-Atlantic integration projects promoted by the United States. Meanwhile Eurasia as a whole should play a larger, and perhaps even a decisive role in global processes

And despite the harsh rhetoric on the part of the Assembly, we will continue to interact very closely with members of different countries.
I want to PACE finally prevailed mind. Instead of coming up with new restrictions, it is necessary to quickly make a decision that the barriers to inter-parliamentary dialogue should not be. If such an understanding will come, we’ll come back to this area. I hope that the dialogue institutions that are our common heritage, yet stand up and will not be destroyed. And the traditions of European parliamentarianism will be stronger than any external provocation.
In May, at the session of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly of the fields in St. Petersburg, I plan to meet with the current Chairman of the PACE Mr Agramunt. We do not refuse to engage in dialogue. But it must be understood that, in deciding to unacceptable restriction of rights of the Russian delegation, the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly has made impossible the presence of observers at the elections to the State Duma. At the same time, we will invite a wide range of observers from other international organizations – the OSCE, the national parliaments
