RIA Novosti The Federation Council are ready to support the proposal on the recognition of extremism denial outcome of the referendum on joining the Crimea to Russia, but with reservations, told reporters on Monday the chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Konstantin Kosachev.
Earlier, the Russian Investigative Committee head Alexander Bastrykin proposed to admit extremism denial outcome of a national referendum on accession of Crimea to the Russian Federation. He explained the proposal attempts to create anti-Russian sentiments in Crimea by falsifying and distorted interpretations of current events, in particular – the Crimean referendum results.
“This idea can be supported, but on the condition that there will very clearly prescribe the parameters and procedure of what can be considered as attempts to falsify history and, in particular, the referendum in the Crimea”, – said Kosachev journalists
