The Russian government has proposed to increase taxes bookmakers – BBC Russian

The Russian government submitted to the State Duma a bill that increases taxes for bookmakers and betting that take bets on the Internet.

According to the bill, which has developed the Ministry of Finance, bookmakers and betting is offered to recognize as independent objects of taxation and the tax rate set for them at the level of 2.5 million to 3 million rubles.

this is now the local authorities can charge for each betting center from 25 thousand to 125 thousand rubles. Thus, the amount of tax to such organizations in the event of adoption of the bill will rise to 100 times.

Authors of the bill also offered to accept tax agents

This means that these organizations will have to keep themselves and arrange tax on winnings, while now this obligation rests with the holder of the prize. If you win at a rate of less than 4 thousand rubles, it will not be taxed.
