Over half a million people took part in the rally on the eve of “Immortal regiment” in Moscow – the Ekho Moskvy radio station

 The first such event was held in Tomsk four years ago. The idea belonged to the local channel TV 2, which is now off the air. Now – this event is a federal scale. This year’s event took place in almost all Russian cities touched by the war. The most massive march was the Moscow parade. Participants were from the area of ​​the Belarusian railway station to the Kremlin. They carried photos and portraits of their relatives who have passed or the Great Patriotic War or did not live to win. At the end of the route to the column joined Vladimir Putin. In his hands was a portrait of his father. According to the president, the value of this action is that she was not born in the offices and in the hearts of Russians.

 According to the organizers, the rally “Immortal regiment” was attended by 12 million Russians.
