the Moscow city court has cancelled the decision of Basmanny court of the capital on the imposition of arrest on property of the former Governor of Kirov region Nikita Belykh, the TFR accused of bribery. Protection insisted that the investigation has not shown that the arrested as an interim measure a plot with a house, a car and housing in Perm was purchased by Mr. White on criminally obtained funds.
the Decision to arrest property of Nikita Belykh, the Basmanny court of Moscow has accepted in August of this year. As an interim measure was arrested on a land area of 7 acres and a house on it in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region, apartment in Perm, a used car and 400 thousand rbl. on account of the ex-Governor. The investigation requested the arrest, since the article of the criminal code of bribery, alleged former policy, inter alia, pecuniary penalty.
Recall that Mr. White was detained June 24, in a Moscow restaurant when receiving a bribe. According to the CCJ, he personally and through the intermediary received a total of €400 thousand for the protection of the transferred money to the businessman and controlled by JSC “Novovyatskiy ski works” and LLC “Forest management company”. Nikita Belykh was arrested on 25 June, later Vladimir Putin signed a decree on early termination of powers of Mr. White in connection with loss of trust. The Governor himself does not admit his guilt in the incriminated act. In the court hearing the petition of the investigation on his arrest, the former official said that “never accepted a bribe and is not going to take”.
Today in Moscow city court protection asked to cancel the decision about arrest of property of the former Governor. “The investigation has not been presented evidence that the property and funds were obtained by criminal means White,” he said, in particular, the lawyer Vadim Prokhorov.
