The Kremlin responded to reports of Putin’s decision to eliminate Spetsstroy – RBC

the Decision to abolish the Federal Agency for special construction Spetsstroy is still pending, reported the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov. According to him, there are different proposals about the future of the Agency.

“No final decision yet. There are different proposals and different discussion. While about something concrete to speak is impossible”, — said the representative of the Kremlin (quoted by “RIA Novosti”).

Earlier on Wednesday, November 23, on the elimination of “Spetsstroy” wrote the newspaper “Kommersant”, citing sources close to the defense Ministry. The decision was taken during a closed meeting with the leadership of the military. According to the newspaper, defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on the results of the meeting, which was held on November 18, instructed the Deputy chief of the General staff Vasily Tonkoshkura to 10 December together with the legal Department to submit a draft presidential decree abolishing the Federal Agency and to confer on defence tasks for construction of special production purposes.

“Kommersant” said that questions for the Department appeared in 2015 after collapse of the barracks near Omsk and due to transfer in April 2016 the first ever launch of the carrier rocket “Soyuz-2.1 a” from the cosmodrome East.
