Russia’s actions in the east of Ukraine may lead to increased sanctions against Moscow, said British Prime Minister David Cameron.

As stated Cameron in the Australian capital Canberra on the eve of the summit of “Big Twenty” Russia should allow Ukraine to develop as an “independent and free country, able to freely choose its own path”.

“If Russia chooses a positive approach to the freedom and responsibility of Ukraine, this could lead to the lifting of sanctions. If Russia continues to aggravate the situation, it can lead to their extension. It’s simple, “- said the British prime minister.

Ukraine accused Russia of sending columns of infantry and military equipment on the territory on the east countries that are controlled by the separatists. NATO and the OSCE confirm these data, and Moscow denies them.
