State Duma deputy from the LDPR, Igor Lebedev, Jaroslav Nilov and Andrew Svintsov prepare amendments to the Federal Law “On state regulation of production and turnover of ethyl alcohol and alcohol products and restrictions on consumption (drinking) alcohol products”, involves the removal of alcoholic beverages in stores from the zone of visibility, according to “Izvestia».
Lawmakers propose to extend the principle of alcohol retail trade in tobacco products, in accordance with which the cigarettes in stores cleaned out of sight of customers. One of the authors of the amendments, Igor Lebedev, said that such a measure in respect of alcohol “is not difficult for people buying alcohol for various events, but not strolling in the evening brings youth, students, pupils at the thought of the evening, accompanied by his alcoholic products.”
Chief Narcologist Russian Ministry Eugene Brune said he did not come across in the world practice of concealing alcoholic beverages from the eyes of the buyer, like cigarettes, but said: “I am an active supporter of the idea that because of convenience stores need to remove the alcohol.
