According to the scientists Volcanological Laboratory of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, in Kamchatka volcano awoke again Kluchevskoy, the highest active volcano in Eurasia.
The seismic activity of the volcano was recorded by scientists on 19-20 December 2014, which was somewhat unexpected, since according to the observations is active volcano Kluchevskoy about once every 5-6 years.
The last activity of the volcano was observed from August to October 2013. As a result of his activity was melted glacier Ehrman, whose waters have filled up the river Studenaya and provoked a flood of Ust-Kamchatsky district. Was washed out the road leading to Ust-Kamchatsky district.
From 31 December to present the volcano is closed clouds, however, despite this, satellites recorded the infrared radiation in the vicinity of the crater of the volcano, which indicates an increase in temperature this area.
At the moment, according to representatives of the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service of Russian Academy of Sciences, there is a continuous volcanic tremor, glow above the crater and the thermal anomaly.
The nearest awakened volcano town, village Keys with a population of 5,600 people, is 30 kilometers away. The question of the evacuation of the population of the village is not yet placed.
