It should be noted that such exercises were not conducted since the days of the Soviet Union. Until that time, the biggest launch rocket salvo was on board the nuclear submarine “Novomoskovsk” in August 1991. Then, from the Barents Sea at intervals of 16 rockets were fired in 14 seconds.

«chase with three big stars captain Makeyev gave me straight in the central office. They introduce us to the awards: I – a Hero of the Soviet Union, both XO – to the Order of Lenin, the mechanics – the Red Banner … but a week later – the Emergency Committee, the Soviet Union abolished the Soviet Order too. Dali all by an asterisk on the shoulder straps – and the cause of the end “- recalled the commander of” Novomoskovsk “Sergey Egorov

Recall that salvo launch of ballistic missiles aboard submarines is retaliation in the event of a global nuclear war.. It is noteworthy that the maximum number of missiles fired from a US submarine-type “Ohio” is four units.
