Environment physiotherapists for many years argued that the profession is not a regulated profession in Poland. Economic activity involving the provision of physiotherapy services may assume each. Documents confirming the education and qualification in the field of physiotherapy are only required when signing a contract with the NFZ.
As explained by prof. Zbigniew Sliwinski, the outgoing national consultant in the field of physiotherapy, a joint project of the FTT and SFP contained a protocol of discrepancies between the two organizations on the scope of powers and authority, depending on the level of education of technicians physiotherapists, physical therapists with bachelor’s, master’s, and a Masters of Science with a specialization.
– By means of this project, together with the protocol differences suggested to the lawyers of the Ministry settled the dispute – said prof rynekzdrowia.pl portal. Sliwinski. Defined, among others, who will be able to use the title physiotherapist. Also introduced different degrees of specialization in the profession of physiotherapist and defines the powers of the profession.
The purpose of regulatory practice as a physiotherapist include impede access to the profession to people who do not have any rights to this, so that patients are safely treated.

July 25 with inicajtywy national consultant in the field of physiotherapy Dr. Zbigniew Wronski was a meeting of representatives of the SFP, the FTT and the Trade Union “Physiotherapy”, to discuss the differences in the projects (made by PSL and earlier, which was sent to MZ). During the meeting, the board SFP appealed to withdraw the proposal submitted by the PSL; finally decided to set up working groups, which in the coming months will take care of the work on a common project.
In addition, during the meeting, Members PO declared that “immediately after the summer break” (about August 25) will be the club’s PO made in the parliament a draft law on the profession of physiotherapist as agreed previously by the PTF and SFP – see page Polish Society of Physiotherapy.
