The World Health Organization (WHO) may recommend a ban on thin cigarette formats. According to “Kommersant” newspaper, the relevant question may be raised as early as this year’s Conference of the Parties to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC), which will be held in early November in the Indian Delhi.

The materials, in particular, recommends to consider introducing a ban or restrictions on the use of tobacco products design elements that enhance their attractiveness. In the event that the WHO will issue a recommendation to ban thin cigarettes and it will go to the Russian legislation, under the blow will be more 40% of all cigarettes in Russia.
