Committee reported that Syamozero in Pryazha region of Karelia lost communication with an unregistered tour group, which in three boats went hiking in the Syamozero. The group had 47 children and four instructors. According to preliminary version, the boat in which were members of the tourist group, could capsize during a storm.

By now we know that eleven children and one adult were killed and 36 people rescued, four others have not yet discovered. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that according to preliminary data, the dead children were from Moscow, the mayor has expressed his condolences to the family and friends.

At the scene deployed operational headquarters work EMERCOM psychologists and specialists of emergency services.
