Recall Chechen leader Kadyrov accused the radio station “Echo of Moscow” in the anti-Islamic position. He made this statement after online “Echo of Moscow” appeared a poll on whether to draw cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
Venediktov replied to that statement his blog on the website of “Echo of Moscow»:
– I am quite serious about the threats posed by Ramzan Kadyrov and therefore intends shortly to apply to the Russian law enforcement agencies. I categorically reject the accusations of Ramzan Kadyrov in anti-Islamic nature of the radio “Echo of Moscow”. I believe that such statements are defamatory and damaging to business reputation “Echo”. We live in a secular state and abide by the Constitution and laws of the Russian Federation Russia. The editorial policy of “Echo of Moscow” is balanced, professional and equidistant from the interests of different groups, political parties and churches. This is, and will remain, in spite of all sorts of pressures and threats.
