The European Union is seeking money for assistance to Ukraine from the reserve of the budget, RIA Novosti reported with reference to Russia’s permanent representative to the EU Vladimir Chizhov.
«In Greece invested billions, and in Ukraine there is no money. The first tranche, which gave Ukraine, held under “incidental expenses in the event of natural disasters.” Reserve article. Only it is not natural. Poorly planned, I believe, but planned, “- said Vladimir Chizhov.
In 2014, the EU has allocated 1.36 billion euros Ukraine. The next tranche of EUR 250 million is expected this spring. January 12, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said he expects to receive assistance in the amount of Kiev 13-15 billion in 2015-2016 from the US, Canada, Japan, the European Union and the IMF and the World Bank.
In late December, the European Union recognized the lack of funds to support Ukraine. European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker acknowledged that financial and economic support for Ukraine’s necessary, but the EU has reached the limits of their budget expenditures.
