The State Duma demanded an explanation from the Ministry of Labour to about the pensions of women. Faction “United Russia” summoned to a meeting of representatives of the Ministry.
Lawmakers asked to clarify the information published in the newspaper “Izvestia”. According to the newspaper, the Ministry of Labour has developed a new method of calculation of the payment and the amount of funded pension. According to these rules, the amount of payments will be less women than men by about 20%.
The difference stems from the fact that the new method of calculation for the first time included the retirement age – previously taken into account the average life expectancy. By law, men can retire at 60 years, and women – 55 years. It is expected that the new method will be applied from next year.Related news:
